With social values at the heart of all of PCH Manufacturing’s core activities, the opportunity to support the growth of local businesses is high on our agenda. So when Battisford Motorcycles (BMC) got in touch to look at engaging our metal fabrication services we jumped at the chance to be involved.
Having gained the CE Accreditation for undertaking works to manufacture and supply EXC2 standard structural components PCH Manufacturing were in the perfect position to support the physical growth of BMC’s premises. The EU legislation means all metal fabricated structural components used in the construction of structural floors, pedestrian walkways, balconies, trash screens, fire escapes and balustrades must be manufactured by EX2 standard CE accredited companies. Any organisations manufacturing or purchasing products that are not through an accredited source would be contravening the legal requirements and could face fines or more serious actions.
With requirements for additional shop floor space the ideal solution was in the design, manufacture, supply and fit of a mezzanine flooring structure, thus significantly increasing the square footage from which BMC can market their products.
The project has been so successful that BMC are already looking at further ways in which PCH Manufacturing can support their business growth. Mark Stone of Battisford Motorcylces comments,
“Upon recommendation we engaged with PCH Manufacturing for the purpose of manufacturing, supplying and fitting of a mezzanine structure allowing us to extend our motorcycle display room to a second floor. The work carried out was undertaken in a very professional manner and the structure meets all of our commercial and business requirements. We are extremely happy with the outcome of the project”
If your organisation is currently considering fabricated structural components to support you with business growth objectives please do not hesitate to get in touch and our team can assist with advising you on your project.
