Manufacturing with community at its heart

PCH Manufacturing offers bespoke manufacturing solutions, including windows, doors and signs, throughout Plymouth and the South West to private home owners, businesses, landlords and developers.

We’re a trading arm of Plymouth Community Homes (PCH), the city’s largest social housing landlord, and any profits we make are invested back into the community through our parent company.

This includes developing new affordable housing for families on lower incomes looking to take their first steps onto the property ladder and more social housing for those looking for long-term, affordable homes to rent. PCH also provides free training and advice for vulnerable people in Plymouth.

In 2018/19, our profits facilitated the equivalent of

  • building 1.6 new homes
  • maintaining 100 homes
  • repairing 4,119 taps
  • hosting 58,883 Learn for Free sessions for PCH residents
  • organising 15,676 journeys to Learn for Free sessions for PCH residents
  • fitting 521 new windows.

As well as investing in the community, we also invest in our workforce. We employ local, highly skilled people and support those learning a new trade. We currently have 8 apprentices in role across the business including PVCu fabrication and fitting, carpentry and administration, allowing our future talent to benefit from on-the-job training.
