Jessica has just joined PCH Manufacturing as our newest apprentice working at our Prince Rock depot.
Studying for a Business Administration apprenticeship, Jessica previously studied at Ivybridge Community College where she gained her GCSE’s and went onto study Photography at the Plymouth College of Art.
Jessica said: “I was unsure of what my next step in my career should be when I saw the apprenticeship advertised online. I went in the for my interview and found that they made me feel at ease straight away which helped me a lot – they rang me the next day to give me the good news!
“I was quite nervous on my first day but it was such a friendly team that everyone made me feel welcome and I’ve been there for around six weeks now and I’m really enjoying it and get on well with everyone around me. My apprenticeship is for two years and I’m already thinking about gaining a permanent job here because it’s a fantastic place to work.
“That’s what’s good about PCH, once I’ve gained my qualification, there are a lot of different departments that I could work in to see what would be the best fit for me in my career.”
Jo Lake, Admin Team Leader at PCH Manufacturing said: “We’re delighted to have Jessica join our team, she’s been great – so enthusiastic and helpful, and really keen to learn what she can.
“When we have a new apprentice join, it always boosts the morale of the team because it gives those people who have been here a little while the chance to show someone new the skills they’ve learnt and are able to offer help and support. We’re sure Jessica will do really well in her career and we hope to have her here for a long time!”
