The Sign Shop at PCH Manufacturing is now certified with all relevant regulations to manufacture traffic signs under the National Highway Sector Schemes 9a (NHSS) in addition to their established BS EN ISO 9001:2015 accreditation.
The BS EN ISO 9001 certification is a commitment to quality and is currently held across all areas of PCH Manufacturing, whilst the NHSS are various management schemes underpinned by a 9001 but with specific application to highway activity requirements.
NHSS9a provides management requirements for the design, assembly and/or provision of permanent and temporary road traffic signs and the Sign Shop at PCH Manufacturing now adheres to an industry benchmark for the workmanship of these signs whilst also providing assurance to clients that standards are being consistently applied.
As part of this accreditation, Sign Shop operatives have completed relevant legislative training and digital competency requirements, allowing them to manufacture these signs in-house to the highest quality, as well as providing competitive prices without compromise
Kevin Boyes, Head of PCH Manufacturing, said: “Road traffic signs are an essential part of making our roads safe by providing drivers with information, instructions and warnings.
Vehicle movements can be hazardous and impose a risk of injuries and fatalities when not managed properly.
We’re now able to manufacture and supply a wide range of fully accredited road traffic management signs ensuring that they comply with the latest industry regulations and keep drivers and pedestrians safe whilst on the road.
This accreditation is just a small indication of the capabilities of our Sign Shop here at PCH Manufacturing and it’s great to be recognised within this sector for our work.”
